About Hamlette

Hamlette wants to help you live in community. Whether that means joining an existing community, finding others to buy or build a community with, or creating community in your own neighborhood.

Everyone needs People.

There is no ‘business’ model.

Hamlette is a one-human, mission-driven initiative to connect people.

I’ve often wished it were easier to socialize day to day. That fewer people in my immediate vicinity were complete strangers, and that more people I passed on the street made eye contact. That I knew who I could ask for a cup of sugar.

More research every year demonstrates the physical and mental toll of loneliness. But the prescription to change how we live isn’t the easiest pill to swallow! Only by finding more people to connect, and being more open about what it means to live “in community” can we hope to really make a change.

Get off this website!

The irony of this project is that it doesn’t want you *here.* It wants you out there, meeting neighbors, making friends, and leading a more connected life. The sooner you provide some basic info about what you’re looking for, the sooner we can help you get out into community!

Meet Sophie

Hi! I’m the person behind Hamlette. Below, you can see me putting on my best “pioneering” face. I am many things in life, including an artist and affordable housing development professional. I am also queer, a widow, and erstwhile owner of the worlds snottiest cat. We all contain multitudes.

We’ve worked with some of the best companies.
